"For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God." October 2010 prayer letter

It's hard to believe that we've been back in Mahadaga for over two months now. We're now full-swing into our roles and responsibilities here and keeping busy! Dale will be doing a lot of travelling over the next 4-6 weeks, so please pray for travelling mercies. We've also battled several illnesses over the last 4-6 weeks. We are thankful to all be healthy again, but please pray that it would stay that way! It's hard to juggle everything when your body doesn't want to cooperate!:)

Please keep checking back here on our blog for more news, pictures and reflections! And thanks for your prayers, encouragement and support!

Love,

Dale, Florence, Caleb and Joel

  1. Glad to hear you are back in place. I have made contact with your mission team in Mechanicsburg and have decided to not try to join them when they visit you early next year. The preferred French language requirement is a problem. I am on my way to Afghanistan next week for two weeks and that will probably be my mission trip for a while.
Will keep you in my prayers.

  2. Dear Flo:
I'm so glad to hear that everyone is feeling better. There is nothing worse than trying to be productive and continue with the "dailies" when the body is screaming to go back to bed and sleep off whatever "bug" is invading your body.
I will pray for you while Dale is traveling and is away and leaving you to "hold" the fort and be parenting solo. You'll be ready for his return.
Time speeds by quickly when you are busy settling in and getting organized and I'm sure it sounds like you hit the ground running.
I enjoy your notes and staying in touch.

    Love in Christ,
    Amy Saal

  3. Miss you all and enjoyed your letter! Flo - I found your words very encouraging...but they were also words that made me think:) That sounds like a good book you were going through.
I hope Dale's travels have been going well. I wonder how many times he's gotten stuck on those roads. Guess that is the downfall of having a great rainy season:)
Love you all very much and always look forward to hearing from you! And I'm glad you are all getting better too - so sorry to hear you've not been feeling well!
    Love,
    Sarah
